This series has taken heavy use from the theme of time and is guided by the influences of aquatic scenes/terrains exploring the core nature of water. It looks deeper into the beauty and grace of the element that we take for granted by pausing it and taking a deeper look at its intricate details and relevance/interaction with its pace and gradual change of form through moments. a flourish that only lasts a second can be so easily missed. Through capturing snippets of these moments and capturing the motion and behavior of water I hope to create dynamic images within a display of time or times.
when the clock stops and time halts, we can take a closer look and begin to study a single instant in much more detail.
I focused on incorporating chrono photography, high speed capture and long exposure techniques (while keeping time-lapse in mind, and experimenting with it but it didn’t really suite what I wanted to accomplish) for my final images to encapsulate the true essence of momentum in moments through my series.
