A group project trying stop-motion for the first time with George Merwood, Tanya Putthapipat, and myself.
We wanted to incorporate many aspects of each of our previous posters and combine them all within the stop motion in a special way. We thought of utilizing the mythological story of Pandora's box and having all of these aspects inside and coming out of the 'box'. after writing all the brainstorm ideas down I began to sketch out our storyboard. Tanya also began to collect all of the supplies that we would need while George looked into getting and setting up the camera. Tanya and I began to take all of the images from each of our scenes and sent these to George who was our main video editor.
The aspects of our posters incorporated:
Japan - Through the pouring of white and red paint to display the countries flag
Fear of the dark - Through the use of dark scenes and monster eyes in the dark
Thai hands - Through painted hands that are only seen for a frame or two.
The value that represented wisdom and knowledge - Done through the symbolism of the book
Final Video.
